i personally think otherwise. i llooked up the word 'hallows' in the dictionary and it told me that it meant either halloween or holy, sprited people. so perhaps it is talking about the death eaters or the tragic event at Godric's Hollow (seing as it was on halloween...)
There are a lot of possible meanings of Hallow as a noun, some more obscure than others. When the title first came out a whole lot of people went to their dictionaries and web searches, and yes, most of them found the same meanings that you gave.But some people had bigger dictionaries and were able to give more variations on the meaning that are older, more obscure, but still valid.The example that I found most compelling is that the chalice (the well known "holy grail") and a couple of other artefacts - possibly the Turin Shroud was one of them - are apparently collectively referred to as the "Grail Hallows". They're holy *items*, not places or people.And the similarity between holy objects that are famously searched for by intrepid heroes around for some legendary reward, and the horcruxes that are cursed objects that need to be searched for by an intrepid hero in order to defeat evil, seems far too real to ignore.I could be wrong, but I REALLY don't think I am. Yes, I too agree to the point that the deathly hallows are the horcruxes, where lord voldimort's life is hidden. But I cannot understand how can people miss out that Harry himslef is a horcrux... Remember in the half blood prince book, it is already said that any living thing can also be a horcrux...What you people say?
I doubt very much that Harry is a Horcrux. Think about it. To make a Horcrux, the soul must be split in two. I dont think doing that is as simple as pointing your wand at someone. More to the point, to split it, you must kill. While YouKnowWho DID kill Lilly, he was aiming for Harry, not intending him to be a vessel.
well i agree wid jared that hrayz not a horcrux cuz in book 6 its mentioned that livingthing can be a horcrux so wat i think is that nagina(voldermot's snake) is a horcrux

you guys are sorta right about hallows being a holy object, but a horcrux is not a hallow because a soul isn't an object but a piece of soul having to be split into 2 or more souls. the deatly hallows suggested in the book are 3 objects that had been created for the 3 brothers who are descendents of harry potter. the objects are the stone of resurrection, cloak of invisibility and the elder wand. i hope i haven't made anyone misunderstood and confused but it explains it all in the book
to make it even clearer it was death who created the objects for the brothers.
