sab39 ... HBP 1-day prediction (death)

Dumbledore will die. Probably in HBP, but I'm allowing for the possibility that it'll be early in Book 7 instead.

(Okay, I'm cheating here by giving a prediction that can be proved right tomorrow night, but can't be proved wrong for another couple of years. This also is a fairly easy prediction to make - lots of people are predicting the same thing. Still, it's my blog, I can predict whatever I want ;) )

I've heard that someone is supposed to die in HPB. I always figured it would be Hagrid, who would be revealed as the Half Blood Prince.

I don't know whether it's been *specifically* confirmed that someone will die in HBP, but I think Sirius's death in _Phoenix_ was once described as the "first of the deaths" (presumably referring to major characters, otherwise you have to include lots of others).

I actually expect more than one death in this book, and I wouldn't be completely shocked if Hagrid were among them. There are plenty of candidates, though, and Dumbledore's the only one I'm confident enough in to include in this list of predictions.

(I still don't think Hagrid's the HBP, however)
