Something in Harry's blood (which Voldemort used at the end of Goblet) will prove Voldemort's downfall.
7th book

I agree, but it probably won't happen or be revealed until the 7th book, as I don't expect Voldemort's downfall before then. :)

True

I wouldn't be surprised if you're right, although it's possible that Dumbledore might reveal his plan in HBP even if it doesn't actually get carried out until book 7. In fact, I think he almost has to if all my as-yet-unrevealed predictions are to come through.

Half-blood prince's identity
By Ed The Engineer (Email) at 2005/07/11 11:16

Speaking of blood, I predict the half-blood prince will turn out to be Hagrid. Remember, he's a half-giant, his father who raised him was a human and he doesn't know anything about his mother...

Disagree

I'm not making a prediction on the identity of the HBP because I don't think we know enough. I'm fairly confident it's not Hagrid or Flitwick or any of the other half-humans we know about, because half-blood has always referred to magic/muggle pairings, not human/nonhuman.

(We also do have some information about Hagrid's mother, including her son stashed in the Forbidden Forest, and Grawp doesn't seem particularly royal to me. Plus giants don't seem to go for hereditary royalty, preferring the "whoever rips the ruler's head off gets the throne" method of succession)

If I had to pick, though, I'd take either Seamus or someone we don't know yet.
